Evaluation of The Implementation of Pharmaceutical Service Standards at Ampah Public Health Center Dusun Tengah District Barito Timur Regency
Abstract
Pharmaceutical service standards in Community Health Centers aim to ensure service quality, promote the rational use of medicines, and improve patient safety. Although drug availability at Ampah Community Health Center reached 100%, several clinical pharmacy activities have not been implemented optimally. Therefore, an evaluation of pharmaceutical services based on the Indonesian Minister of Health Regulation No. 74 of 2016 was conducted. This study aimed to evaluate the level of compliance with pharmaceutical service standards, the achievement of service indicators, and the remaining gaps in pharmaceutical services at Ampah Community Health Center. This descriptive evaluative study employed quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document reviews, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), Drug Request and Usage Reports (LPLPO), stock cards, prescriptions, and pharmaceutical service reports. Data were collected from July to October 2025 and analyzed using compliance percentages based on the standards specified in Permenkes No. 74 of 2016. The results showed that most indicators met the required standards, including drug procurement and planning, storage according to dosage form and temperature requirements, drug labeling, drug dispensing with adequate information, and service time (100%). However, several indicators did not meet the standards, including compliance with the National Formulary (81.82%), storage of narcotics and psychotropics (85.71%), high-alert medications (46.67%), LASA medications (50%), drug distribution accuracy (66.66%), generic drug use (83%), and patient adherence to medication (92.51%). In conclusion, pharmaceutical services at Ampah Community Health Center complied with most indicators but still require improvements in inventory control and clinical pharmacy services to fully comply with Permenkes No. 74 of 2016
